This is a quick tip from  a colleague of mine who has spent a lot of his time in the network security industry knee deep in packet captures and the likes, this is a tip shouted across the room during a busy debugging session….

This command is for Cisco routers (IOS), I have not tested with old versions but the more recent ones will work: 

#debug condition <ip>

The command is most helpful when debugging tunnel (VPN/GRE) type traffic, by specifying the peer address or networks as a condition you can filter the output.
