Cisco have just released information on their new ASR 1000 series Edge Router. This is designed to compete with the likes of Juniper.
A couple of interesting features:
* Multigigabit encryption
* 10Gbps firewall throughput without any extra blades/modules.
To get that sort of throughput with one of the modular routers you would need a few FWSMs in there!
